Dear Community Partner,
The Lexington High School UIL Academic program has experienced rousing success in the last
five years. Our program has featured numerous state qualifiers over this time in Speech, One Act
Play and Journalism. We also have finished as the top academic team at the district meet multiple
times, and as the top team at the regional meet last year. This huge success has been made thanks
to the great sacrifices and efforts made by instructors on the elementary, middle, and high school
campuses. Our program includes around fifty students of varying backgrounds competing for our
school at these competitions.

Recently, our school has begun participating in practice invitational meets. Students travel across
Texas starting in September to take their tests or give their speeches in a competitive environment
and receive feedback. These events are usually on a Saturday, meaning dedicated students and
teachers alike give up part of their weekend to improve at their event. Additionally, we compete
in virtual challenge meets during the week and have robust participation across all academic
events.
This level of dedication requires more than the school budget can offer. That is why we are
turning to you. Many of these students will return home after college to put their education and
skills learned through participation in this activity to work in your company, or with your family.
Many students have qualified for the TILF Scholarship, rewarding excellence in UIL Academics,
and use this money to pay for college. Therefore we appeal to you to make a contribution to your
own future by supporting these students today. Any donation amount would be greatly
appreciated. We have created several rewards for donations surpassing certain thresholds that will
be delivered if we surpass our fundraising goal of $1,500.
● Green Tier (At least $25): Your name is added to the back of our UIL shirt
● Gold Tier (Donation of at least $50): Green Tier and you will receive UIL shirt
● Platinum Tier (Donation of at least $100): Green Tier, Gold Tier and you will have your name or family’s name featured on a banner hanging near campus or on the highway
There are two forms on the next page. One is for you to keep as a receipt with your check
number for tax deduction purposes. The other is to be returned to us with the donation. Please
make sure that you return this form so that we can give you and/or your company recognition for
its support.
These students cannot succeed without full support from their educational community and that
includes you. We appreciate your time, diligence, and support of the future of this community
and the future generation of American professionals.
